[Experience] Comfortable bus ride from Otakanomori to Narita Airport! It was easier than I imagined!

I took an express bus from Otakanomori to Narita Airport.

Did you all know that there is an express bus service from Otakanomori Station to Narita Airport?

The other day, I had a chance to use Narita Airport, so I used the Narita Airport Transportation Express Bus, which I had been curious about for some time,　and I would like to share my experience with you!

Buses will depart from platform 6 at the Otakanomori West Exit.

Advantages of Using Narita Airport Transportation’s Express Bus

1. No need to transfer!
2. Easy to transport luggage!
3. There is no need to get lost!
4. You can always sit down!

As you can see, traveling by “Narita Airport Express Bus” has many advantages, but one regret is that the bus only departs once a day at 5:30 a.m.So it would be a good case to take an early morning flight.The bus arrives at the airport around 7:00 a.m., so a flight departing between 8:00　and 9:00 a.m. would be a good time.

In case you are wondering, ”Kotaka” doesn’t like to be harassed, so these days he tries to arrive at the airport as early as 2 hours before　or at least 1 hour　and 30 minutes before the flight.By the way, do you know when the “departure time” of an airplane is?

The correct time is the moment when everyone boards the plane, the doors close,　and the plane leaves the terminal.Please note that this is not the time when boarding gates close.In the past, “Kotaka” had lightly thought that it would be enough to arrive at the airport station 40 to 50 minutes before departure time, but the train was a little late,　and we had to run as fast as we could through the terminal.JAL　and ANA have a 20-minute boarding deadline, while LCCs such as Peach have an earlier 30-minute deadline. Departure　and arrival times

Kashiwa (5:00) ➡ Otakanomori (5:30) ➡ Kashiwanoha Campus (5:50) ➡ Narita Terminal 3 (6:52) ➡ Narita Terminal 2 (6:57) ➡ Narita Airport Terminal 1 (7:00) (as of July 2023)

The travel time from Otakanomori is 1 hour　and 30 minutes.

Those who live along the Tobu Urban Park Line can take the first train departing from Shichikodai,　and those who live at Atago, Nodaichi, Canal, Umego, Edogawadai,　and Hatsuishi stations can also take the first train at each station to arrive at Otakanomori at 5:14 am, so they can take the express bus leaving at 5:30 am. (as of July 2023).

On the other hand, on the Tsukuba Express, even the first train does not arrive at Otakanomori before 5:30 a.m., so you will not make it in time, but if you go to the neighboring Kashiwanoha Campus, you can arrive at 5:42 a.m., eight minutes before the bus departs (5:50)　and catch up with your desired highway bus. (As of July 23, 2011) Please do your own research to be sure.

It sounds like something out of a railroad mystery novel, but it means that Yashio, Misato Chuo, Minami-Nagareyama,　and Nagareyama Central Park stations are also available. Once you depart, there is no restroom break for about 1 hour　and 30 minutes until you arrive at the airport, so we recommend that you use the restroom in the station before leaving the ticket gates.

After departing from Kashiwanoha Campus, we took the expressway from the Kashiwa Interchange.

We arrived at the terminal about 10 minutes earlier than scheduled arrival time without any traffic congestion. It was a very comfortable trip.

Transportation to Narita Airport in the recommended order ”Kotaka”

1. Means to use the Narita Airport-Kashiwa route departing from Otakanomori by Narita Airport Transportation’s express bus. No transfers, the fare is 1,800 yen　and the trip takes about 1 hour　and 30 minutes.
2. Take the Tobu Urban Park Line to Shin-Kamagaya　and use the Keisei Skyliner. The fare is approximately 2,000 yen with one transfer,　and the journey takes 52 minutes.
3. Take the Tobu Urban Park Line to Shin-Kamagaya　and use the Keisei Narita Sky Access Line Access Express. The fare is about 1,200 yen with one transfer,　and the journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.
4. Take the Tobu Urban Park Line to Kashiwa Station, transfer to the Joban Line at Abiko Station, transfer to the Narita Line at Narita Station,　and take the Narita Line to Narita Airport.

When you take the train, be careful to change trains at Shin-Kamagaya Station: Lines 1　and 2 go to Haneda Airport,　and lines 3　and 4 go to Narita Airport.Be careful not to get on the wrong train when you are in a hurry.I had an experience where I almost boarded a flight bound for Haneda Airport. I felt that there might be someone who had a similar experience, so I looked it up on the web and found that there was indeed someone there.

Moreover, the person was supposed to go to Narita Airport, but realized after going to Haneda Airport.Just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach. After that, he took a cab from Haneda Airport to Narita Airport, and lo　and behold! He made it just in time for his flight!Please be careful, everyone.

In other words, if you take an express bus from Otakanomori, there will be no transfer errors in this way.
